Congenital aortic arch malformations present a large spectrum of variations and anomalies that emanate from disordered embryogenesis of branchial arches. It is important to recognize congenital variants of the aortic arch, as they can have relevant implications for patients' prognosis and management. No other congenital malformations were reported. It is unusual to have a right aortic arch with mirror-image branching of the brachiocephalic vessels and no associated congenital cardiac anomalies. right aortic archwith mirror-image branch-ingofthe majorarteries, and theposterior orright arch with anaberrant left sub-clavian artery. We report a case of an adult female patient with RAMI discovered as an incidental finding during radiological investigations for suspected pulmonary embolism in emergency department. MRI demonstrated a right-sided aortic arch with mirror image branching and a tubular structure connecting the left brachiocephalic artery to the distal pulmonary trunk (see Figure 1). In RAMI the first branch arising from the arch is the left innominate artery, followed by the right carotid artery and right subclavian arteries. The exact incidence of RAMI in the general population is unclear. Right aortic arch with a left innominate (brachiocephalic) artery with mirror image branching (RAMI) is a rare congenital anomaly, and it is unusual to diagnose it in adulthood. Nupedia and Wikipedia coexisted until the former's servers were taken down permanently in 2003, and its text was incorporated into Wikipedia. Language editions were created beginning in March 2001, with a total of 161 in use by the end of 2004. Wikipedia gained early contributors from Nupedia, Slashdot postings, and web search engine indexing. Bomis originally intended it as a business for profit. Otherwise, there were initially relatively few rules, and it operated independently of Nupedia. Its integral policy of "neutral point-of-view" was codified in its first few months. The name originated from a blend of the words wiki and encyclopedia. The domains (later redirecting to ) and were registered on January 12, 2001, and January 13, 2001, respectively, and Wikipedia was launched on Janu as a single English-language edition at and announced by Sanger on the Nupedia mailing list. On January 10, 2001, Sanger proposed on the Nupedia mailing list to create a wiki as a "feeder" project for Nupedia. Wales is credited with defining the goal of making a publicly editable encyclopedia, while Sanger is credited with the strategy of using a wiki to reach that goal. Nupedia was initially licensed under its own Nupedia Open Content License, but before Wikipedia was founded, Nupedia switched to the GNU Free Documentation License at the urging of Richard Stallman. Its main figures were Bomis CEO Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, editor-in-chief for Nupedia and later Wikipedia. It was founded on March 9, 2000, under the ownership of Bomis, a web portal company. Wikipedia began as a complementary project for Nupedia, a free online English-language encyclopedia project whose articles were written by experts and reviewed under a formal process. Various collaborative online encyclopedias were attempted before the start of Wikipedia, but with limited success. Wikipedia founders Jimmy Wales (left) and Larry Sanger (right) Articles on breaking news are often accessed as a source of frequently updated information about those events. It has been censored by world governments, ranging from specific pages to the entire site. While the reliability of Wikipedia was frequently criticized in the 2000s, it has improved over time, receiving greater praise in the late 2010s and early 2020s, having become an important fact-checking site. It has been criticized for exhibiting systemic bias, particularly gender bias against women and ideological bias. Wikipedia has been praised for its enablement of the democratization of knowledge, extent of coverage, unique structure, culture, and reduced degree of commercial bias. Wikipedia's combined editions comprise more than 61 million articles, attracting around 2 billion unique device visits per month and more than 15 million edits per month (about 5.7 edits per second on average) as of January 2023. Initially available only in English, versions in other languages were quickly developed. Created by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger on January 15, 2001, it is hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, an American non-profit organization. Wikipedia is the largest and most-read reference work in history, and has consistently been one of the 10 most popular websites. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia written and maintained by a community of volunteers, known as Wikipedians, through open collaboration and using a wiki-based editing system called MediaWiki. Most text is also dual-licensed under GFDL media licensing varies Each therapist was licensed in the state we were testing from, had expertise in our area of concern (like anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting concerns, or something else), and had a range of different qualifications and credentials, ranging from psychotherapists and marriage and family therapists to clinical social workers and licensed professional counselors. We were also impressed with the quality of the matches, despite initial concerns that we could not choose the therapist ourselves. The company says it will match you with a therapist within 48 hours, but we generally found the matching process to take less than a day. We were impressed with BetterHelp’s range and speed: It could find therapists no matter where we signed up and did so quickly. We also sent questionnaires to each company and evaluated each service with the help of three licensed therapists to compile this list of online therapy services we stand behind. To help you find the right service for you, we surveyed over 10,000 users at 80 different online therapy companies and directories, then we signed up and tested the services ourselves for a minimum of a month to evaluate each service’s cost, convenience, therapist qualifications, and user care. The best online therapy is affordable and provides qualified, experienced therapists. “While individual preferences exist, most people can benefit from online therapy, with comparable outcomes to in-person sessions,” says Amy Marschall, PsyD, a clinical psychologist and subject matter expert. Research suggests that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions, and therapists agree. therapy conducted virtually through phone calls, video chats, emails, and text messages-can help bridge this gap for anyone seeking mental health support. Some estimates suggest 70% of Americans can’t access traditional, in-office therapy because of various obstacles, including cost, lack of public transportation, and therapist shortages. Online therapy should make it easier to care for your mental health in a way that fits your life and budget. It’s an honour that puts them in rarefied company – The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen and The Rolling Stones are the only other groups anointed by the Royal Mail. Their proudest moment, though, came with this year’s set of Iron Maiden stamps. Their beer, Trooper, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, with 35 million pints sold, while Dickinson is frothing with excitement about their bespoke brew for Brazil, “a mango-chocolate IPA, which is a huge success there because we use those local ingredients”. The band edition of Monopoly has just been released in America. Every single fan packed into the O2 Arena seems to be wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt. It’s ironic, for a group often looked down upon, that Iron Maiden are one of the smartest bands around, having made a fortune through canny and inventive merchandise. Well: we don’t make disposable pop music.” But by the fact that it doesn’t conform to their worldview of what pop music should be, which is: pop music is disposable, darling. “Some people feel almost actively threatened by metal. Yes, they’re nominated for Rock Hall entry again this year, “but I don’t want to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Because we’re not dead yet!” Dickinson believes there is lingering snobbery about the merits of their genre. “We don’t give a monkey’s because the people that get us are not the people that run the music business establishment, whatever that is, because that is largely run by people that can’t make a living doing anything else,” says Dickinson, witheringly, when we talk in the band’s hotel the afternoon between their two Prague shows. Yet they’ve never been invited to play Glastonbury (“the most bourgeois thing on the planet” shrugged Dickinson in 2014), have won only one Brit (voted for by the public) and are still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Almost 50 years, 17 studio albums, 100 million record sales and two-and-half-thousand (give or take) concerts into their career, no other band can match the east-London-formed six-piece for their combination of rich back catalogue, ardent fandom, playful theatricality and savvy business acumen. Prague roars its approval with a fusillade of fist-punching and devil-horn hand-signs. To the great excitement of the 20,000-strong crowd packed into Prague’s O2 Arena, the lithe, hyperactive frontman Bruce Dickinson – at 64, the “baby” of the band – mans a Gatling gun-cum-flamethrower, launching pyrotechnic volleys at the band’s long-serving mascot Eddie, a pistol-wielding, 10ft-tall robo-Samurai, who stomps across the stage, shots sparking off his helmeted head. At the third show of Iron Maiden’s sold-out, 36-date arena tour, the band’s long-haired quartet of 60-something guitarists are hard at it: headbanging, pogoing, playing on their knees, striking ballet poses, and pretend-strafing the audience with their six-and four-string “weapons”, while their 71-year-old drummer is buried in a thicket of cymbals and snares. In a similar vein you can actually raise a worm from the dead, should you receive the pickup and his cartoon grave still feature on the landscape. Toolbox options can include the dastardly “Steal”, which if used provides access to your opponents weapons draw. Should an enemy worm so much as wander past and they will know about it sharpish. You can place sentry guns that will sit and monitor a short area of your choice. As you can imagine, this can operate as an excellent defensive strategy, or act as the inspiration for a malevolent offensive. Either of the “attract” or “repel” variety they will draw or repel mines and all other manner of metal to/from their intended target. So what new features are there? Well, electromagnets are a particular favourite. A solid, reliable base to begin reassembling the madness on. Having played Worms World Party not so long ago (on PC), it is essentially exactly the same. It is quick and easy to adapt to on any platform. With Worms Reloaded, there is a return to this know-where-you-stand approach. Ultimately though, the controls and means of accessing such bizarre machinery are the antithesis of this – have always been incredibly quick to pick up. It did get a bit absurd with Worms Armageddon, but then, the clue is in the title. Its creators just had fun with an originally very simple concept. Then you had the even more ridiculous, bombastic weaponry. Air strikes shared the wealth with napalm strikes and carpet bombs. Exploding sheep lead to exploding old women. I mean, where else can you ‘prod’ someone to death? Throughout the 2D era, the developers managed to incorporate ever more gloriously macabre means of administering last rites. Worms is of course a game that delights in its black comedy, as ably demonstrated by the gameplay of all previous titles. Be it the battered leathery bonnet of a middle aged peasant, knights helmet, or the black humour inspired ‘hook’ through the worm, you will not be found wanting. On the subject of personalisation, along with still being able to customise the little fellas headstones they now don headgear. You are of course equipped with new weird and (not always wonderful) dialects. The sounds, ambient music and trademark accents and battle cries are the same as they were in 2001. The 2D graphics are still pretty much the same, with added textual oomph for the backgrounds. Rewinding to World Party as the yardstick for this new release, and you see subtle and almost universally welcome changes implemented. Have they resisted the temptation to flower the thing up with gizmos, throw away game modes and the like? And if this is so, have they gone too far with this premise and essentially re-released Worms World Party? Being privy to the game for a few days has given me the opportunity to see just whether they have metered that oh so fine balance between old and new. Or both, of course.Īs I write this, the Windows via Steam release date for Worms Reloaded has been and gone. The good people at Team 17 have either seen this and the potential pound signs in it, or come up against the same problems with their own 3D projects. The developers of Sonic the Hedgehog have relented after years of struggling to perfect a major 3D transition, with the upcoming episodic Sonic 4 title. Some of these songs aren’t specific to the year the film is set in, like Firestarter was released in 1996, but hey, a 90s track is a 90s track – I’m not going to quibble about a few years. While I didn’t appreciate the way the music was sometimes spliced together (we leap rapidly to different tunes before the song has a chance to settle in), I did enjoy some of the 90s tracks, like Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover by Sophie B Hawkins, Creep by Radiohead and Firestarter by the Prodigy. Setting & Time Period Fear Street Part Two: 1978 The focus on a witch, and some trippy moments in the woods does feel a bit reminiscent of The Blair Witch Project, though thankfully we aren’t treated to the shaky camera effects and we do actually get glimpses of the witch.ģ. The second film makes a trip back to a 1978 summer camp – I mean, Friday the 13th anyone? Let’s not forget that John Carpenter’s Halloween was released and set in 1978.Īlso, there are supernatural aspects to the series. You don’t have to be a horror fan to notice the obvious influence of Wes Craven’s Scream in the opening moments of Fear Street: 1994. Homages to Older Horror Flicks Fear Street Part One: 1994 It has all the buzz and anticipation of waiting for a new episode of your favourite TV show every week (I’m looking at you Mare of Easttown), but it’s a film instead.Ģ. So far, only the first movie is out, with everyone speculating how this narrative will link up with the other two movies. Just when you think the story is over, or something contained within the film, the ending shows you otherwise. Wes Craven’s Scream performs well, so they decide to do another, the same for John Carpenter’s Halloween, and so on.Īs for Fear Street, all the films are told in connection to the other, and they are released as a trilogy. When it comes to sequels and trilogies, especially in horror films, these aren’t usually planned or framed in relation to each other (we can clearly see this in The Conjuring‘s various sequels and spin-offs). It’s A Trilogy Maya Hawke in Fear Street Part One Still not convinced? Here are the 5 reasons why you should check it out on Netflix.ġ. I too was skeptical going into it, pegging it as a kid’s show, but ended up really enjoying it. So, this is why I’m here to tell you that Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy is worth the investment. I have started many movies on Netflix, only to surrender at the halfway mark, or continue to push on just to finish it, a choice which always leads to regret. With how busy our lives are and how limited our downtime is, we want to make sure that the content we dive into will be rewarding or at least entertaining in some way. If you’re anything like me, figuring out which films and TV shows you should give your time to is hard stuff. |
